Such a fun time we had shooting Shiksha’s Mehndi night at her house! She is Indo-Fijian Hindu and stunning!

She is tall, beautiful, and a talented makeup artist so she got herself ready before sitting down to get her Mehndi done.

Shiksha had a nice backdrop and a little vintage/bohemian scene set up in her living room and that gave us a ton of ideas to work with. She also had a lot of helpful and willing friends to help with whatever was needed and that made things a lot smoother as well.

Once Shiksha’s mehndi was done, we could do all the fun shots using her props and backdrop. As one can see, we used the pillows, candles, and other accessories to make the images very cinematic and almost from a different time. Shiksha was a natural and took direction well and could just naturally do a lot of things that are either hard to explain or if someone doesn’t already have the experience, they would feel unnatural doing it.
