We absolutely loved this fusion Wedding at Hyatt Centric at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco! Our good friend Wagma did the hair and makeup and made the bride look stunning! Shibani’s dress was by the designer, Shyamal & Bhumika. Both the bride and groom are world travelers, who at the time of the wedding, were living in Malta.
It was a picture-perfect day in San Francisco and we captured the bride getting ready before heading outside for their first look. On our way down the hall to the elevator, I noticed the beautiful soft light filling the hallway and I asked the bride to do a twirl! The series of shots we got were stunning and went viral and we received several thousand likes on the image(s). It just goes to show, it is not necessarily the place you take the image, but the light that is there.
The best lighting for the first look happened to be on the street outside the hotel. I liked the industrial look but the area still had a cool neighborhood vibe. We walked around the area and got some great shots of cable cars and around Lombard Street. It was really such a spectacular day, we could have shot for hours outside!
The Baraat shots are absolutely hilarious! I wonder if the horse was just really happy or if he was even laughing at us! The couple even took part in the Milni and Jai Mala, and then everyone went inside for the start of the traditional Sikh ceremony.
It was great to see the Indians and Non-Indians all together participating in the ceremony. There was English translation so people knew what was going on, and even though space was sort of tight to shoot in, we got a ton of beautiful images!
After the wedding, there was a fun cocktail hour, followed by a wild reception, where everyone danced and had an awesome time!
