We are back with part 2 of Somayya and Zeeshan’s wedding events! This event was the wedding event that was held at the Citrus Heights Community Center. We started by photographing their beautiful decor while guests started to arrive. When the family got there we did a formal family photo session and a shoot with the couple right around sunset.
The festivities began with a grand entrance by the bride and groom separately. Zeeshan had to fight for his seat as family members from the bride’s side play a game with him to see if he can prove his love for Somayya before letting him sit with her. Usually a little money helps that process!
Their Imam spoke for a little while and there were speeches and an amazing dinner. Photos of all the guests on stage with the couple is how we spent a remainder of the time and then finally the bride and groom left the hall under the Koran in a symbolic going away called Rukshati.
