We photographed several intimate weddings in 2020, the year of the pandemic. We are thankful to couples that chose to get married outdoors and trusted us to shoot their intimate wedding.
Shravya and Karthik had one such intimate South Indian Wedding in their backyard. It was a beautiful day for an Indian wedding and we started the day early in the morning just like most South Indian weddings. Shravya was already ready with beautiful hair and makeup and her South Indian Bridal saree before she would change into another saree early on in the ceremony. Their backyard was transformed into a wedding venue with beautiful decorations and Mandap.
We got some portrait shots indoor-only since according to tradition she could not step out of the house until the start of her wedding ceremony.
We photographed a few different poojas prior to the ceremony, the groom’s welcome pooja and the bride’s Gowri pooja.
The bride had a beautiful floral canopy when she walked down the aisle for the ceremony. We got a variety of shots during the ceremony and when she changed into her second saree for the rest of the ceremony. Several different fun and emotional moments during the ceremony were captured both documentary style and artistic, candid style.
The afternoon ended with family photos and couple portraits with a mix of natural and flash backlit photography.
