Venetha and Prakashraj had an intimate South Indian Telugu wedding at the beautiful Sunol’s Casa Bella Event Center!
Venetha got ready bright and early in the beautiful bridal suite at Casa Bella and we got some quick getting ready photos with a mix of off-camera flash and video light. Venetha looked beautiful in her traditional South Indian bridal attire, Prakashraj wore the traditional south Indian groom’s white silk dhoti and shirt.
Early morning golden hour sunrise helped with beautiful natural light portraits of the couple before the wedding.
We usually shoot the ceremony with two lenses, one portrait and one wide, in this case, an 85mm and a 35mm. We shoot wide-open aperture quite a bit with a shallow depth of field, where you have only the subject sharp and clear, but everything else soft and out of focus. Â It’s a great way of drawing the eye straight to the subject of the photo and eliminating any distractions around your subject.
After the ceremony, we shot family photos, photos with friends, and we ended the afternoon with some more beautiful creative shots of the couple. This time we used a mix of off-camera flash, backlight, and natural light portraits.
