Neha + Rupam | Hindu Wedding at Home

It was during the height of the pandemic and Neha and Rupam contacted us about having their Hindu wedding at home in San Jose, CA. Since all venues were closed and not allowing events, home events were the only type of events people could hold.

The difference with most home weddings though was that most of them were very small, while this one was going to be fairly large with a lot of people and amazing decor and food! A grand affaire!

Several pre events were held leading up to the wedding day and each day Flowers by Edgar did amazing decor to change the scenery for each event. A sub-floor was built in the backyard so they could lay down carpet, giving the backyard and very luxurious and permanent feel to the decor.

The Mandap was like a wall of flowers and we had it featured on several blogs and magazines.

The bride got ready at home, while the groom got ready at a relatives house on the same street. We were able to have them do a first look and portraits before the ceremony, which we highly recommend!

For the Baraat, the groom came down the hill and greeted the bride’s family in the driveway and then everyone sat down in the bakyard for the ceremony with an amazing view overlooking San Jose.

After the ceremony, Milan made an amazing lunch with several food stations and it was amazing as always!

We love photographing Indian weddings in the Bay Area at all types of venues, whether big or small, at a home, or somewhere else! We have shot a lot of weddings for this family and it is the greatest honor to be invited back and see everyone again!
